Happy Belated Mother's Day

Wow I can not believe we are already halfway through May-133 days of the year have come and gone.  Well since I haven't posted since Wednesday here are some updates:

Thursday: Edge Wins!  My softball team won the League Championship!  I am not sure yet whether we get individual trophies or not but we won!   We have a game tomorrow night but it's at 9:30 and I won't be able to make it.  Our last game is next Tuesday at 7pm.

Friday: Jacob bit at day care twice once when they were playing outside and again about 20 minutes later!  He was doing so good and then wham!  Here's hoping for a bite free week this week!

Saturday: We went to my Company Picnic (Mandatory Fun). It was fun but really hot.  Jacob had a blast running around and playing. Jacob passed out on the way home (see two pictures of him passed out in the car at the bottom of this entry)  and I got a chance to watch "Queen".  It was OK but more of a documentary feeling than a movie. That evening we went to Red Robin with my mom.  Jacob loves that place.  It's a great place for kids if you haven't gone.  There's lots of colors and they have TVs and music and BALLOONS.  We've been twice with Jacob and both times he's behaved great! (Not that he's a bad restaurant kid-just that there wasn't a lot of struggling during the meal)

Sunday: Mother's Day!  Jacob and Mark got me a new Photo Album.  Jacob's Day Care went all out.  I got a whisk with some Hershey's Kisses and Hugs, a card made by Jacob, a Wheel Barrow with some little hand made flowers, a pin with Jacob's picture, and this plate that has the best little poem but it makes me cry.  Now I figured out why Jacob came home with pink paint on his shirt last week - he had his handprint on the plate.  We went to 9:30 mass and then to lunch with Wayne, June, Jim and Toshi.  After lunch we came back to the house and my mom came over.  Mark and I took some time to hunt for my summer shorts.  I had  bought a bunch last year that I loved and I can't find them anywhere.  I think they may have inadvertently found themselves at Goodwill.  Ugh!  We played outside for a bit and then went to get Ice Cream.  When we got home little man was passed out!  So me, my mom, and Mark ate ours and then my mom headed out.  Mark and I watched "Because I Said So..."  It's a great chick flick.  I really enjoyed it.  We had to force little man up at 5:30 (he fell asleep at 3:00) so he could eat his dinner and wash off the sunblock.  He went back to sleep at around 7:30.  I guess he had a busy little weekend.

Well I better wrap this up for now.  I hope all you Mothers had a great day and relaxed as much as possible.  I know I tried to. - JP
